Working safely starts with yourself. As a temporary worker, you have a right to a safe workplace, but you also have a responsibility to be alert to risks yourself. Below are a few simple tips to help you avoid accidents in the workplace:

  • Always wear your personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a helmet, gloves or safety shoes. They are there for a reason!
  • Know what to do in dangerous situations - always ask for an explanation if you don't understand something.
  • Pay close attention to warning signs in the workplace.
  • Feeling unsafe? Raise the alarm immediately with your supervisor or your intermediary.
  • Ensure good communication with your colleagues, especially near machinery or in crowded areas.
